CENTRAL COMFORT, MINIMAL DEMO
Small-diameter, flexible ductwork that snakes through existing walls and floors — real central air for older homes and tight rebuilds without major demolition.
Where This System Earns Its Keep
Older Chicagoland homes, tight rebuilds, and additions often can't fit the large, rigid ductwork a conventional central system needs — not without tearing open walls and ceilings that were just finished. High velocity systems solve that problem directly.
The flexible, two-inch supply tubing snakes through existing wall cavities, joist bays, and tight chases, connecting back to a compact air handler in an attic or closet. It's a common fit on our restoration rebuilds for exactly that reason: minimal new demolition to get whole-home comfort.
The system works by aspiration — air enters each room through a small outlet at high velocity, pulling the room's existing air into the stream for fast, even mixing without a noticeable draft.
What You Get
High velocity systems trade large ducts for small, flexible tubing without giving up performance.

01 / HVH
Small tubing threads through framing that couldn't accept standard ductwork.

02 / HVH
Units tuck into an attic, closet, or crawl space instead of a full mechanical room.

03 / HVH
Aspiration mixing keeps floor-to-ceiling temperature swing to about two degrees.

04 / HVH
High air velocity pulls more moisture out than a standard system in the same run.

05 / HVH
Air enters and mixes quickly, without the blast of a large conventional vent.

06 / HVH
Layouts can be zoned room by room for more personalized control.
Installation & Service
We size the air handler and plan the tubing routes around your home's actual framing, whether that's original balloon-frame construction, a mid-century addition, or a section we're currently rebuilding. Most installs go in without opening finished ceilings or walls.
Already have a high velocity system that's underperforming or making noise at the outlets? Our technicians service and repair existing systems too, not just new installs.
